Description

The original 12th century bridge was rebuilt about 1510 although no trace of it has survives. Drawn by W. Westall, from a sketch by James Skene, and engraved by E. Finden for ‘Landscape Illustrations of the Waverley Novels’, London 1833. The Waverley Novels were the major works of Sir Walter Scott. Paper size 210 x 145 mm.
