Drawn and etched, on two plates, by Walter Geikie RSA (1795-1837) of Edinburgh, who was deaf and dumb from the age of two. This remarkable artist has left behind a unique collection of affectionate studies of the working folk in and around Edinburgh in the early part of the 19th century. Published in ‘Etchings illustrative of Scottish Character and Scenery’, Edinburgh 1841. Slight toning at outer margins, not affecting images. Paper size approx. 200 x 275mm
