The original painting was one part of a triple portrait made by van Dyck to enable the artist Bernini to create a sculpture of the king. Engraved by T. W. Knight after the original by Sir Anthony van Dyck for The History of England by Hume and Smollett with continuation to the year 1859 by E. H. Nolan, London 1859.
