Castel Sant’Angelo was completed in AD 139 by the Roman Emperor Hadrian as a mausoleum for himself and his family.
Drawn by Samuel Prout (1783-1852) and engraved by J. B. Allen for ‘The Tourist in Italy’, the Landscape Annual for 1831. Paper size 194 x 123 mm.
