Description

St Vulfran’s church, seen here viewed from the East, is one of the few old buildings to survive a German bombing raid one night during WWII. Drawn by Clarkson Stanfield ARA and engraved by R. Wallis for ‘Travelling Sketches on the Sea-Coasts of France’ being Heath’s Picturesque Annual for 1834, London 1834. Paper size 195 x 122 mm.
