Death Warrant of King Charles I – 1648

A facsimile of the death warrant of King Charles I of 1648, containing the names and seals of the regicides. Engraved on copper by Hulett for A New History of England, from the Earliest Accounts of Britain to the Ratification of the Peace of Versailles, 1763 by Thomas Mortimer,1765. The print has two original folds, one horizontal and one vertical. There is a small hole, 4 mm wide near the centre of the print and a repaired tear at the bottom right edge.
