France, approach to Thiers in the Auvergne



Crossing the River Durolle in the centre if the image is the 13th century Pont du Navire. Thiers was famous for its cutlery industry.
Drawn by the English artist James Duffield Harding (1798-1863), and engraved by J. Cousen for ‘The Tourist in France’, being the Landscape Annual for 1834. Paper size 194 x 120 mm.
